Erin Covey interviews Frank Marrero on the third anniversary of the death of his son, Effrain. Frank and Brenda Marrero are dedicated to helping other parents to understand the signs and dangers of steroid use.

Steroids: The Silent Epidemic
Glassboro NJ - A Rowand University Radio award-winning documentary:
WGLS FM presents this in depth look at the dangers and consequences of steroid use. Frank Marrero and Don Hooten talk about their sons, Efrain and Taylor, who both died from the use of steroids. Why do young people take steroids? There is a real need to raise awareness about steroids, provide education about this silent epidemic, and help parents to recognize the warning signs.

Is a non-profit corporation that was formed in 2005 in memory of Efrain Anthony Marrero. Efrain took his own life on September 26, 2004, three weeks after he stopped using steroids.
